Lung cancer – Get it off your chest

People living amongst us everyday suffer from cold like symptoms: coughing, wheezing, shortness of breath and recurring chest infections; but how many of them would link this to the possibility of Lung Cancer.  These symptoms along with some other (shown below) can be harmless however if they linger around for three weeks or longer it is suggested that they visit their GP and “Get it off your chest”.

Lung Cancer can affect everybody, people who smoke cigarettes, people who have been in contact with cigarette smoke (passive smokers) and people who have been in contact with Asbestosis.  And so almost everybody!

The symptoms:

  • A persistent unexplained cough
  • A sudden change to an existing cough
  • Being short of breath
  • Persistent chest and shoulder pain
  • Recurring chest infections
  • Blood in your Phlegm
  • Unexplained weight loss
