Carers Point!
Provides support and information to Adult Carers 18+ across North Lancashire, working as part of Carers Lancashire to bring consistent quality services to Carers across the County.
1 in 8 people in the UK are carers, many don’t realise they are or that they can access support...Could you be a carer and not know it?
What is a Carer?
A Carer is someone who provides unpaid, often intensive support to family or friends who could not manage without support. This could be caring for a relative, partner, friend or neighbour who is ill, frail, disabled, or has mental health or substance misuse problems.
The aim of Carers Point! is to:
- Provide information
- Support carers to know their rights and access other services relevant to their situation
- Support carers to engage in activities which give them a break from their caring role
- Influence change within local, county and national level services - with direction from carers
Carers Point! supports Carers, Parent Carers and Former Carers across North Lancashire.

Carers Point! is a project funded by Lancashire County Council and managed by n-compass
